Unnecessary Tears

I have been sitting on the couch crying for an hour. A couple of days ago, a guy I went to high school with was killed in Afghanistan. We weren't really friends or anything, nothing beyond school mates. But as I sit here this morning reading all the posts his friends and family have written, my heart breaks. He had four children, a wife and lots of family and friends who love him. It is just so sad that so many lives have been lost. It just hits a little harder when it happens so close to home.

No real segue here, but I guess I will catch you up on the latest in our lives since I havent updated in awhile. The girls are doing great. Meaner than ever :-) We have a new pet. I bought the girls a bunny. His name is Ollie (those Wonder Pets lovers will know what that's about). He is really cute.

We have another temporary pet as well. On the way home from preschool yesterday, we saw a little chihuahua shivering on the side of the street. He didnt have a collar or anything, so I brought him home. He is the sweetest little dog. I know someone must be missing him because he is spoiled rotten! He wants to be held all the time. The girls love him. I took him to the vet this morning to see if he had a microchip, but no luck. We are going to put an ad in the paper today. Hopefully we can help him find his home.

We are going to the Bears game Sunday. Neither Dave nor I have ever been to Soldier Field. We went to a Bears game the year that they played in Champaign, but that's it. We are going to FREEZE! Oh well, I am sure we will have a good time. We always do when we are together (*puke*).
